Wio installments for clinics and patients

Toothpick

Wio is a separate offer from Toothpay. Toothpay is Toothpick's own financing platform, with BNPL providers and bank-backed plans. Wio is a partnership with Wio Bank. The patient pays with a Wio Personal Credit Card and converts that spend into installments. The clinic is paid as it would be for a normal card payment.

It is available at participating Toothpick clinics in the UAE. The English pages are Wio for clinics and Wio for patients. Arabic versions are at /wio/ar and /wio-patients/ar.

The patient offer runs from 20 August 2026 to 31 December 2026. It is limited to eligible transactions in that window. Approval is not guaranteed. Terms apply.

What the clinic gets

The clinic page states three numbers up front: AED 0 cost to the clinic, patient credit up to AED 200,000, and an AED 0 processing fee. The credit limit is subject to Wio's approval.

Wio does the credit check and the installment plan with the patient. The clinic does not take on that credit risk, and it is not part of the credit decision. You receive the full payment up front, the way a normal card payment works. There are no merchant fees for this, and there is nothing to install and no new system to train on.

What you put on the desk is a countertop card and a QR code. Patients scan it to read the payment options. If you do not already have a Merchant ID (MID) for card payments, you need one before you can join. Toothpick's onboarding team can walk you through that. You also wait until the MID is active and the clinic is enrolled.

The steps on the clinic page are:

  1. Open a Wio Business account.
  2. Share your Merchant ID.
  3. Receive the collateral kit and place it at reception.
  4. Take payment as usual. Wio handles the installments with the patient.

Eligible clinics can also look at equipment finance up to AED 10 million through Wio Business. That loan is subject to Wio Bank's own credit check. The amount and the approval are not guaranteed.

New Wio Business customers can get 6 months of free business banking on the Essential or Grow plan. The referral code comes from the Toothpick team, and it has to be entered before the application is submitted. The free-banking offer applies only when the account is opened before 31 December 2026. Clinics that already have Wio Business are not eligible for the free banking. They can still join the patient installment program.

What the patient gets

At a participating clinic, an eligible treatment can be split into 6 or 12 monthly installments at 0% interest, with AED 0 processing fees. The patient needs a Wio Personal Credit Card. The minimum spend to convert a payment is AED 500.

The patient page uses a worked example, and it says the example is only an illustration. An AED 6,000 treatment over 6 months is AED 1,000 a month. The same AED 6,000 over 12 months is AED 500 a month. In both cases the total stays AED 6,000. The real repayment follows the treatment cost and the length the patient chooses.

There are two paths.

A new Wio customer downloads the Wio Personal app, opens an account digitally in as little as 24 hours, and applies for a Wio Personal Credit Card. After approval, they pay at the clinic and convert the spend. Account opening, the card, and the installment are all subject to Wio's checks.

Someone who already has the card pays at the clinic, opens Spend in the Wio Personal app, selects the transaction, and chooses 6 or 12 months. That conversion has to happen within 7 days of the payment.

Cashback is not earned on a transaction that has been converted. Other spend is unchanged. Once the installment plan is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled or turned back into a normal card purchase. Early payoff is available in the app under Wio's usual credit terms.

Toothpick does not collect or store the patient's Wio application, approval, or repayments. Those stay in the Wio Personal app. The installment agreement is between the patient and Wio Bank.

If a payment is missed, Wio Bank's credit card terms apply. The patient page says to contact Wio through the app or at +971 600 500 946. Questions about the clinic itself go to the clinic.

Which financing to use

Use Wio when the patient is at a participating UAE clinic and can pay with a Wio Personal Credit Card inside the offer dates. Use Toothpay when you want to send a payment link through Toothpick's provider network. The two can both exist in a clinic. They are not the same button.

Clinic owners can start from Wio for clinics. Patients can start from Wio for patients. For Toothpick as a whole, read what Toothpick is, or talk to the team on the contact page.
